  1. The Witness of the Church

  2. The State of Mind of the Church Matthew 28:18-2018Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.“ God’s people collectively carrying out God’s mission of redemption. “unchurched” person is 1) someone that is either not yet a Christian or 2) a Christian that is not committed to another church community

  3. The Sending by the Church Romans 10:14-1514How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

  4. The Sending by the Church • Luke 10:1-61After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. • 4Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. 5"When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' 6If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you

  5. Who brought you the Good News just before you accepted Jesus?

  6. The Serving in the Church Acts 2:42-4742They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

  7. The Serving in the Church apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer, God working miracles, sharing possessions, praising God

  8. The Standard within the Church I Corinthians 1424But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understandcomes in while everybody is prophesying, he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all, 25and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!" Hebrews 4:12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

  9. Some Things at Our Church Mark 1:16-1816As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 18At once they left their nets and followed him.

  10. Some Things at Our Church Next Series: “On Mission” Acts 1:8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.“ Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Ends of the Earth …

  14. Operation Andrew is a simple, five-step plan designed to help Christians reach out to people they know who need Jesus Christ. By participating in Operation Andrew, you can make a difference for Christ in your community. You are the key to help reach others for Christ. My Operation Andrew List I commit to pray regularly for the following people: 1. __________________________________________________ 2. __________________________________________________ 3. __________________________________________________ 4. __________________________________________________ 5. __________________________________________________ 6. __________________________________________________ 7. __________________________________________________ 8. __________________________________________________ 9. __________________________________________________ 10. _________________________________________________ Use this list as a daily prayer reminder. Yes, I will be involved in Operation Andrew Name ____________________________________________________ Phone Number _____________________________________________ Email _____________________________________________________ Look Around where you live, work, or go to school– this is your mission field. List names of individuals you know who need Jesus Christ, whom you will pray for regularly. Look Up because God changes people through prayer. Pray each day for those on your list, that God will give you opportunities to share His love with them. Look Out for ways to cultivate friendships with each person on your list. Spend time with them. An invitation to dinner or a supporting event will build friendships, which can open the way to talk about Christ. Look Forward by beginning to talk with each person on your list about attending the Festival with you. Choose a specific date, pray, and invite them. Look After those who respond to Christ or even begin to show interest in the Gospel, for they need your encouragement. Continue to love and pray for those who do not respond.
