  11. I had the honor of helping a fellow Marine do a fundraiser for this group at the Cub Foods on Old Shakopee & France Ave in Bloomington, 2-3 August

  12. The following Detachment Members were at the August VA Hospital visit on 4 August 2013: Commandant Doug Anderson Junior Past Vinnie Howard Member Steve Johnson We came across a dozen Marines, that we will be able to help out!

A recent posting on Face Book Lost TreasureConstance Cowan, 87, of Duluth, Minn., examines a dog tag Aug. 2 that had belonged to her brother, James, who died in the Philippines during World War II. The dog tag was found by a tour guide on the Corregidor, where James served.Clint Austin / Duluth (Minn.) News Tribune

Please keep in your thoughts & prayers Audrey Roiger, wife of the Department Commandant, Mel Roiger Good Morning to All: For those of you that have not heard, Audrey (Ma) Roiger fell at the VFW on Friday night at the Burger Basket. She suffered a broken hip and hurt her arm also. She had surgery on Saturday on her hip. She is currently at one of the hospitals in Rochester. This is what I received from Jigger last night. I will pass on more information as I receive it. Semper Fi! Pete Hagert

  18. Another successful fundraiser at the Cub Foods in St. Louis Park on 10 August. Over $800 was raised!A heartfelt thanks to Commandant Doug Anderson, Adjutant Chan Zuber, Sergeant at Arms John Suckerman & Gina Olson for participating. Kudos to Chan for setting it up!
