The candidate must be prepared to dance three of them for the benefit of the examiners. Of the requested dances one will definitely be in jig time and one in hornpipe time with the third dance in timing chosen by the examiners. None of the six submitted set dances can be a traditional set dance e.g. St. Patrick's Day. • Upon satisfactory and successful completion of the four parts of the Step Dance Teachers Examination the candidate will be awarded their certification with the World Irish Dance Association.”- World Irish Dance Association.

  4. Pay: Being an Irish dance teacher, assuming I start my own school, would pay $70-$150 per child per quarter, not including if the children rent costumes, or subtracting studio rental, this is not much considering how sparse Irish dancers are in the area, and my lack of enterprising skills would surely effect this. • Job satisfaction: High

  5. Third career choice:scientific journalist • What do I need: requires a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field. • Pay: n/a
