  3. Agenda 12:00-12:05 PM: Call to Order (Drew) 12:05-1:35 PM: Review Proposals for 2011 Work Groups provided by Chairs (Debug, FVWG, Metadata, NoC Benchmarking, SLD, Specification, Cache Coherency*)1:35-4:05 PM: Review of Long Term Vision (Drew) - Revisit Existing Items - Add New Items Based on Input From Chairs - Revisit Priorities 4:05 PM: Motion to Adjourn6:30 PM: GSC Dinner* Not formally operating today.

  4. Debug Working Group Plans for 2011 • Explore the 2 wire interface and find an OCP extension matching the Nexus standard • Investigate and prototype adding 1149.7 to OCP-IP debug interfaces • Continue to monitor the market for an emerging OCP debug block (high level ESL or in RTL)

  5. TVWG slide from FVWG • Continuing the activity started Nov 18th 2009 • Attending companies : Cadence, Synopsys, MIPS and TI • Cache-coherence extension checks draft ‘voting period’ will be open beg of 1Q11. • Coverage for Cache-Coherence extension targeted for 1Q11 • Existing checks and coverage improvements based on feedbacks or/and specs updates ongoing. 5

  6. 2011 Goals for MDWG Spirit enhancements Propose and drive modifications into IP-XACT standard Provide OCP Bus definition/Abstraction Definition Standard Extension/Schema change ( Q1 2011 through Q4 2011 ) Core compatibility reports rtl.conf  IP-XACT conversion & Release to OCP-IP members ( Q1 2011 ) Enhance for OCP IP-XACT checkers for OCP 3.0 & Release to OCP-IP members ( Q1 2011 ) 6

  7. NoC Benchmarking WG goal for 2011 Overview article about the workgroup Q1 Survey article regarding the traffic patterns in SoC Continuation of ”A Methodology for Performance Analysis of Network-on-Chip Architectures for Video SoC” Q1/Q2 First release of the traffic models for TG Q2/Q3 Moreover, most likely more work on DRAM, application profiling, and general guidelines 7

  8. SLD WG Status

  9. Increase compatibility by explaining how to model… Enhancements to VP : resource strongly dependent on CircuitSutra motivation, objective is to demonstrate use of OCP and OCPIP technology in making VP assembly easier and VP quality higher. • Overall strategy is to use VP download as a reference in white papers (or "modelling guide") • eg OCP Modelling Kit and bus routers+memory-map+GreenReg using IPXACT input data • eg OCP Modelling Kit and Clock/Power modelling

  10. Resource • Currently (in people): • TI ~0.1 • Sonics ~0.1 • Greensocs ~0.1 • Possibilities to grow: • TI, Sonics: not much chance unless a critical requirement comes up • GS: likely to disappear at some point • CS: need to keep their interest by focussing on VP marketing use around new features • SNPS, CDN: ought to be possible to get 0.1 from each one • MTR: might come in if SNPS and CDN both demonstrate compatiblilty • WR: might be interested in VP-related work but would need to resolve Intel objections to OCP-IP membership

  11. Specification - Drew

  12. MWG 2011 Goals - Ian • Articles, Conferences, Papers, FAQs etc. already embedded in wheel • Need to add goals for Social Media Activity • Introduction Date • Other Requests?
