Student learning results CAPT • Annual average of over 90% reaching proficiency Honor Roll • 2012-2013- Over 200 students made the honor roll • 2013-2014 -Over 220 students made the honor roll AP scores: • EHS has been on the AP Honor Roll for 3 consecutive years for expanding opportunities and improving student performance • According to the College Board there are only 90 other districts in US and Canada that have earned this distinction Academic Expectations: • Not one student to date has failed to graduate as a result of not reaching our academic expectations

Orientation Program • Three upcoming meetings are scheduled with the incoming 8th graders • A student follow up meeting approximately 2 weeks after school begins • Our Advisory program ensures that all students will have at least one adult that will know your child well throughout all four years of high school • Each student will be assigned an advisor in addition to a guidance counselor

Student Success Plans (SSP) • Mandated by the State since July 1, 2013 • Based on developing a students Academic, Career and Social/Emotional development from grades 6-12 • The Student Success Plan (SSP) is an individualized student driven plan that will be developed to address every student’s needs and interests to help every student stay connected in school and to achieve postsecondary educational and career goals • The Student Success Plan supports structures such as student portfolios

  22. In order to facilitate an appropriate placement into honors level classes, students will be recommended for honors placement based on academic performance, performance assessments, teacher recommendation and student readiness. Honors Criteria

  26. Academic Eligibility All ninth grade students are eligible for fall extracurricular activities. Beyond the transition phase for freshmen, all students who wish to participate in extracurricular activities must meet each of the following academic requirements: • Be enrolled in at least five (5) units of work during each marking period. • Have a passing previous quarter grade in at least five (5) units of work including all required courses. • Have no more than one (1) F, regardless of the number of courses taken.
