  2. Physical Characteristics • The average size is 2 feet , 4 inches at the shoulder and seven feet long. • The weight of a Leopard is 140 lbs. • The color of the Leopard is light tan with lots of black spots.

  3. Habitat • Leopards live in the rain forest, woodlands, plains and the desert. • They can be found in bushes and ravine. • They can also be found in sub-Sahara Africa.

  4. Food • Leopards are carnivorous, so they eat meat.

  5. Protection\ Predators • Humans are their predators. • The Leopard’s spots help it camouflage.

  6. Life Span • The life span of a Leopard is 21 to 23 years.

  7. Babies • The approximate amount is 21 months in the mom’s stomach.

  8. Cool Facts • Leopards are fast runners, good swimmers and excellent tree climbers. • Male Leopards are larger than female Leopards. • The scientific name for a Leopard is Panthera Pardus. • Leopards are nocturnal.
