  1. Angles Lesson Objectives 2.C.1.a Identify, describe and draw angles, parallel line segments, and perpendicular line segments 3.B.2.a Measure a single angle and angles in regular polygons *********************************************************************** 3.A.1.a Use technology tools, including software and hardware, from a range of teacher-selected options to learn a new content or reinforce skills

  2. Vertex • Each angle has a vertex. • A vertex is the point where two rays meet and form an angle Ray 1 Vertex Ray 2

  3. Naming Angles A ABC CBA B B C • You can name an angle by all three points, with the vertex in the center. • Or you can use just the letter of the vertex.

  4. Let’s Name These Angles • Write the name of these angles in three different ways. EFD ABC E A DFE CBA F B B C F D HIG GIH JLK H K I KLJ J L I G L

  5. Classifying Angles An acuteangle measures less than 90°. A right angle measures exactly 90°. An obtuse angle measures more than 90°.

  6. Classify These Angles Acute, Obtuse, or Right Obtuse Acute Acute Right
