  2. Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) Application/Approval Status Community Colleges Updated 10/03/05

EPI Accountability Each (EPI) shall submit to (DOE) annual performance evaluations that measure the effectiveness of the programs, including Pass rates of participants on all examinations required for teacher certification, Employment rates, Longitudinal retention rates, and Employer satisfaction surveys. These employer satisfaction surveys must be designed to measure the sufficient preparation of the educator to enter the classroom. These evaluations shall be used by (DOE) for purposes of continued approval of an educator preparation institute’s alternative certification program.

Teaching Proposals 40 Teaching proposals received, totaling $8,767,200 from 25 Community Colleges, 11 Universities, and 4 Independent Colleges and Universities. 27 Teaching proposals funded, totaling $5,000,000 in 19 Community Colleges, 7 Universities, and 1 independent College/University. 25 Grant Reviewers 6 Secondary, 7 Community Colleges, 6 Independent Colleges & Universities, 6 Board of Governors

SUCCEED, Florida Accountability • Quarterly progress reports • Interim financial report DOE 399 • Interim Projected Performances, Expenditures & Revenues Charts • Final Report (Final DOE 399) • Communication and instructions on grant reporting will be sent directly to the Succeed Florida—Teaching grant application contact person for all funded community colleges.

SUCCEED Florida – Teaching Grants • Required Reports • SUCCEED Florida grant reports are separate from any other institutional reporting requirements (and are in addition to and separate from EPI reporting.) • Information and instructions on grant reporting will be communicated to the contact person listed on the SUCCEED Florida grant application. • Quarterly Report 1 • September 30, 2005 • Update to Sections I and II, Projected Performances, Expenditures and Revenues Chart—Credit Hours (Reflects 16% decrease in funding. Grant recipients have revised these sections of the chart, which have been received and accepted as Report 1.)
