Contest Overview • Open to all students in select schools • The contest opens February 25th and ends midnight April 4th • Students create unique investment theses • Must be marketable concepts • Description and Marketing Overview required • Back-testing, research are bonuses, but do not determine winners • Students can work in small groups • Up to five submissions per group or individual

  3. School Participation Criteria • Professor involvement • Investment Club participation • Administration support

  4. The Prizes • First Place • $5,000 • Potential Internship to work on publishing Index • Attend product launch (possibly a bell ringing) • Second Place (3 winners) • $1000 each • Honorable Mention (up to10)

How Students Enter • Each School has it own unique submission page • Simple intuitive instructions • Paste investment thesis in submission box (character limits) • Paste why investors would be interested in concept in submission box (character limits) • FAQ’s on the page • Must provide valid school email address to enter

  6. Summary of Last Contest • Nearly 100 entries • Schools with greater faculty participation had greater turnout and better ideas • However, most students submitted great ideas • Winning Idea: US Exporters Index • Focuses on US domiciled companies who derive a material portion of their revenue from exports • Plays on a growing global economy • Lower US dollar • The cache of “Made in America”
