The ANZAC people went overseas and had a fight in Gallipoli. They ate hard tack, rice, dry beef and tea and the mum’s in NZ made ANZAC biscuits and sent them over. And the poppies grow in Flanders Fields. They made holes called trenches 1.5m high and 1m wide.

  1. The ANZAC people went overseas and had a fight in Gallipoli. • They ate hard tack, rice, dry beef and tea and the mum’s in NZ made ANZAC biscuits and sent them over. • And the poppies grow in Flanders Fields.

  2. They made holes called trenches 1.5m high and 1m wide. • They couldn’t stick there heads up or they got shot. • They had to sit in there for 6 months in that little hole.

  3. New Zealand went to war cause England went. • Hard tack and ANZAC biscuits last for 6 months. • New Zealand and Australia lost the war in Gallipoli in 1914.

  4. 1000’s of people got killed by the Turkish people. • Some people got shot on the boats on there way. • They came back from war in 1918 “that’s a really long time”.

  8. Housing, Living, Transport. They used horses for transport and rich people had cars. They lived in houses made of wood in the forest up the hill. They had a Long drop in the back yard. And a fire in the middle of the house.

  9. What people said about war!!! Stop fighting and having wars.16302 soldiers were killed. And 40362 were wounded and 102 were missed. I like to fight.

  11. Tanks • In World War I (1914) they used tanks to blow up there enemies basses. • But they aren’t as safe as the ones in Word War II.

  12. Schools In 1914 they had old schools made out of wood. They had black boards and books were very expensive. They had the strap or the cane if they had been naughty. Some good kids gave there teacher an apple.
