ICPerMed: Coordinating Personalised Medicine Research

The International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) is a consortium of over 35 European and international partners, aiming to coordinate and foster research in personalised medicine approaches. Their vision is to establish Europe as a global leader in personalised medicine research and support research that benefits citizens and healthcare systems. The consortium also develops an action plan and provides support activities for the implementation of personalised medicine. PersonalisedMedicine – A definition PM [ ] “refers to a medical model using Characterisation of individuals’ phenotypes and genotypes (e.g. molecular profiling, medical imaging, lifestyle data) for tailoring the right therapeutic strategy for the right person at the right time, and/or to determine the predisposition to disease and/or to deliver timely and targeted prevention".
