It was then endorsed by the Committee on Degree Programs. Next is the Council on Planning and Budget and Grad. Council. * Participation in DataFest was at a record high. * Conferences. UCLA hosts Western North American Region (WNAR) meeting of the International Biometric Society next week, and June 20-22 Statistics is organizing and hosting the 20th annual ASA/IMS Spring Research Conference (SRC) on Statistics in Industry and Technology. * The Statistics Consulting Center has progressed nicely. mini-courses on R, workshops on Sample Size Determination, new collaborations with Time Warner Cable and College Bound Today. * We continue to be world leaders in computer vision and have very strong programs in environmental statistics, social statistics, and bioinformatics.
