  2. Location & Facts The Three Gorges Dam is located in Yiling district (China) The Three Gorges Dam is the Largest Power station in terms of installed capacity. The Dam was fully Functional as of July 4 of 2012 The theme of culture represents government because it generates enough electricity to power homes and cities.

  4. Facts The Three Gorges Dam is a dam that has 32 turbines. It is capable of generating 30 million horse power. It has 2 plant powered generators and the main generators weigh about 6,000 tons and has the capacity of 700MW . They expected it to cost $22.5 billion and the U.S helped pay for the Dam. The Three Gorges Dam was constructed to prevent floods and provide hydroelectricity. The Three Gorges Dam is important because it prevents floods from happening, and creates hydroelectric power for towns , cities , and homes.
