  6. Revolution • Today, lots of kids use the internet to communicate. I'm one of them. Ever since I started this blog, I found my voice. The internet is a place to be heard. Nobody can interrupt you, and anybody can speak their minds. You can get your point across easily, and you can share with everybody what's on your mind. Like The Indigo Girls once said, "The darkness has a hunger that's insatiable, and the lightness has a call that's hard to hear." I've heard that call, and that's Technology.  I know what most teachers, educators, and school systems don't know: Technology can be a faster way to write. But, alas, most teachers still live in the dark ages. They use the old mind-to-pencil-to-paper-to-desk method, which can take hours, days, weeks, and even months in extreme cases. Kids are told to think inside the box, which can limit what they can do, hiding real talent. Computers can be a simple, fun, and fast way to ensure the child is challenged with new, fun ways to spice up writing. Fonts, highlights, links, pictures and videos: can you put that on paper?In conclusion, Microsoft Office Word and other programs are great ways to educate. The old method is like a fossil, and fossils belong in museums, not classrooms.
