  2. Mission To effectively address our growing global / local societal and ecological challenges and opportunities with new thinking and actions in sufficient time to adapt to rapidly changing world circumstances

  3. Medium A new ‘world community’ aimed at actively addressing our shared challenges and opportunities by: Linking and connecting like-minded groups and individuals through effective communication, dialogue and collaborative action.

  4. Method • The World Wisdom Alliance (WWA) will be created and launched in Toronto, Canada from July 26 - 28, 2006 • The core of the WWA communication network will be a web portal which creates a member ‘on-line’ community • The main Communication Centre will be established in Toronto, Canada

Member Benefits • Connect and share information with like-minded organizations and individuals worldwide • List member events, activities, contact details and other key information on the WWA web portal   • Access new members, supporters, partners and resources • Distribute content and information on-line to WWA members and the public

Member Benefits • Develop new relationships including joint projects, collaborations and campaigns • Enhance and empower the efforts of member organizations through the new on-line community   • The WWA may also coordinate joint projects, events and campaigns for member and public participation

  7. Member Responsibilities • Endorse the WWA ‘Vision and Values Statement’ • Provide mutual web-links with the WWA web portal  • Communicate and share information on member's mission, projects, events, research, etc. with all other WWA members via the on-line community

  8. Member Responsibilities • Contribute content, as applicable, on an on-going basis to the community      • Appoint at least one individual from each organizational member as the WWA communication liaison • Make the applicable membership contribution on an annual basis

Public Section • Global Education on our growing global / local challenges and opportunities in the areas of climate change, sustainability, peace, security, etc. • News Section with daily / weekly updates on recent scientific evidence and opinion i.e.) Global Warming / Alternative Energy • ‘Solution Pathways’ - alternatives that any individual, organization or community can implement

Public Section • Editorials: columns from editor and guest editorials on a regular basis • Publications and database of reports, etc. e.g.) from Club of Budapest, WWC and other global think-tanks, organizations, etc. • Downloads of articles, books, etc. • Email Alerts, Newsletters • Web links

  13. Member Section (Community) • Searchable database of organizational and group members • Searchable database of member's projects and initiatives • 'Partner Find' - searchable database of member projects focused on finding partners sponsors, donors, etc.

  14. Member Section (Community) • Access to member ‘communication liaison’s • Calendar of World Community Events: member and like-minded • Alliance and member communications: web conferences, web seminars, web symposia, web dialogues and web meetings (‘member only’ and public)
