  1. Database Subjects Databases at York College are listed in alphabetical order. A spreadsheet has been prepared on which the user can find the major subjects of each database, and whether the database offers full text articles and/or offers peer reviewed items.

  3. Subjects • To find the predefined subjects of each database, the user can use the attached EXCEL spreadsheet. In the spreadsheet, the user can use the Home Find ribbon choice, and designate to find a particular predefined subject. The pre-defined subjects can be found on the attached slide: databases by subject.123

  4. Pre-defined Subjects Available • The databases each have a major subject in which it is detailed. In general, the subject specialties can be logically deduced from its title. If the database title is unclear, it is usually a very general database, and most subjects can be found in it.

  5. Peer Reviewed and Full Text • The user can find which of the database(s) have specific peer reviewed items. The user can also determine which database(s) have full text articles. It is best to search by subject and then specify peer reviewed and/or full text.
