Pojam otrova Svojstvo materija da dovedu do poremećaja biohemijskih procesa, fizioloških funkcija, pa i strukture u živom organizmu naziva se toksičnost. · Trovanje je patološki proces koji nastaje usled delovanja otrovnih materija različitog porekla na organizam. · Otrovi su sve one materije koje štete zdravlju i to u minimalnim količinama i koncentracijama.
