  3. Definition- How create a JE? • Definition of a Junior-Enterprise: • It is an association which works nearly as an enterprise. It is composed only by Gvahim Olim. • The different services that can offer a JE depend on the Olim’s qualifications. • The aim of the company is to make business with some structures (enterprises, public organizations, creators of businesses…) and in addition to learn, exchange and live a first professional experience in Israel. • It will help qualified Gvahim Olim from around the world from realizing their professional aspirations in Israel and provide them with a strong social anchor for a successful alyah. The Gvahim’s Junior Enterprise will have 3 main goals : • An economic goal • A pedagogic goal • An exchange goal

  4. An economic goal • A Junior-Enterprise makes money! It is a vast movement in the world that negotiates, sells studies, makes some products (internet website, engineering product, communication tools…), and provides a lot of services for companies (140 J.E in France for a turnover of 8 million €). • Each Junior-Enterprise can sell several services for companies, it only will depend of which type of services you can produce (the competence of your J.E) and of the opportunities of your environment. • Generally a Junior-Enterprise makes business with very different structures and for different objectives. Gvahim’s J.E Enterprise, Public company, Association, Creator of companies Private schools … To become member of the Junior Enterprise Suppliers (computers, printer…), subcontractors (JE) J.E Gvahim Olim

A pedagogic goal • In a Junior-Enterprise you can learn, use your professional knowledge, and have a real Israeli professional experience. • But also you may manage a group and make important decisions within the Israeli economy. When you do a study for a company, you work as professionals managing a company. You gain something really important for your entrepreneurial life and professional experience in Israel. • You learn from a Junior-Enterprise because you can see and experience a real Israeli company working, networking, and the working group.   6. An exchange goal • A Junior-Enterprise is a company that teaches you many things. Each year at any moment, the Gvahim’s Junior entrepreneurs exchange their own experiences and their dynamism and entrepreneurial skills. • Why is exchanging so important ?  “We thought that nobody knows everything and that everyone knows something” • The Junior-Enterprise is the better way to share experiences and be professional. Exchange Collaborate Meet Communicate Work your networking Manage Be entrepreneurial ….

  7. Prepare: 1st Step • Find a team • Define the competence of each one and the school • Obtain basic information • Create a document presenting the future company

  8. Find a Team The Reason • You need people to set up your Junior-Enterprise (more than 5 people to begin). From now you will work in the project with many Gvahim Olim, Gvahim professional network and people who can help you to achieve the goals of this project. • This project will not succeed if you are alone = Teamwork! The Fact • Create your own networking now! • Communicate the advantages of this project and the advantages of being a part of a Junior-Enterprise.

Define the Competence of Each one You must make a grid to define the skills of each person in the team and the position they want to have… The 3 positions that we will need to begin • President • General secretary • An accountant Other positions can be define • Communication Manager • Project Manager • Person in charge quality…

Define the Competence of Each one The aim of this core • The President :He/she is the responsible of the association, he has to keep an eye on the team and has to take some important decisions to bring up the association to the summit. He has strong relationship with some external people (Head Director of the school…) • General Secretary: He/she has to control the good development of the Junior enterprise, do reports of the meetings, set up meetings, place orders (depends on the need of the J.E)…takes some important decisions in the J.E with the President • Financial director/treasurer/Accountant: He/she has to establish and send the invoices of the J.E, control the accounting of the J.E, and administer budget.

JENC: European precursor • European Confederation was created in 1992 in Paris with JENC help • Today not less of 13 countries are members of European Confederation • The European Confederation is in Bruxelles and makes lobby at the level of the European Parlement • More than 220 structures represented by more than 20000 students in Europe

  12. 10 years ago, French national chamber of commerce exported this concept to Brazil. Today, there is more than 200 Junior Enterprises there! Nowadays, a world conference of Junior Enterprises take place each year, allowing Junior-Entrepreneur from different place of the world to exchange the best business practices at a student level! Worldwide development from 1992

  13. “Learning by doing” is J.E. concept, It is practicing consulting before starting your job, allow people to practices what you learned before going on the job market! Let’s go to see the advantages...
