  3. Not Your Momma’s Telehealth • Two essential themes • Telehealth must add efficiency to the care system. The value of a successful program will be enhanced communication and coordination. • Everyone must win. All stakeholders must benefit, including the patient, referring providers and consulting providers

  4. Service • The Smart Grid • Triaging the patient to the right place at the right time • Obstetrics (e.g. UAMS Angels) • Neonatology (e.g. UAMS TOUCH) • Stroke • Mental health

  5. Service • Accessing Care Along the Health Continuum • Mobile health rapid access • School clinics • Long term care • Home monitoring for high risk patients

  6. Service • Establish the Captain of the Ship • Co-management between the medical home the specialist • The rapid triage visit for the well majority • Teach the teacher for the complex minority (e.g. Project Echo)
