  3. Objectives • Students will engage in peer-learning • Students will learn challenging topic in an active way • Teacher will provide a variety of instructional formats • Teacher will use assessment strategies to tailor lessons to student needs and reflect a variety of student learning styles

  4. Day to Day Activities • Weekly quizzes on vocabulary • Student presentations • Journal entries • Lessons in variety of formats • Student research projects • Labs • Class activities

  5. Final Assessment • Class questions and journal responses for formative assessment • Weekly quizzes for summative assessment (vocabulary, participation, lab report) • WebCT portfolio assessment for unit • Unit test (including multiple-choice, true and false, short essay, vocabulary questions
