Budget 2021: Indian Railways gets Rs 1.1 trn budgetary support for FY22 Budget 2021: Indian Railways gets Rs 1.1 trn budgetary support for FY22 Budget 2021 Account Minister Nirmala Sitharaman dispensed a gross budgetary help of Rs 1,10,055 crore for Indian Railways. "I'm giving a record amount of Rs 1,10,055 crore for rail lines of which, Rs 1,07,100 crore is for capital foundation just," Sitharaman said. Expounding on the advancement undertakings of the Indian Railways, she said, "The Indian Railways has arranged a National Rail Plan for India 2030. The arrangement is to make a future prepared rail route framework by 2030. Cutting down the calculated expense for industry is at the center of the system to empower Make in India." Sitharaman said that the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) will be dispatched by June 2022. "The Sonnagar- Gomoh segments (263 kilometers) of the EDFC will be taken up in the public-private

  2. association mode in this year itself. Work at the Gomoh-Dankuni area will be taken up in short progression," she said. "We will attempt future Dedicated Freight Corridor projects, in particular, East Coast Corridor from Karakpur to Vijaywada, East-West Corridor from Busawal to Karakpur to Dankuni and North South Corridor from Itarsi to Vijaywada. Itemized project reports will be attempted in the main stage," she added. "Wide check course kilometers (RKM) zapped is required to arrive at 46,000 RKM 72 percent by end of 2021, from 41,548 RKM on October 1, 2020. 100% zap of Broad measure courses will be finished by December 2023," Sitharaman said.
