  2. Vienna Austria Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Vienna on December 5, 1791.

  3. Early life When he was 3, he watched his father teach his sister how to play piano. Wolfgang mocked her and he soon was able to play on his own. He then started playing the flute, violin and clarinet. At the age of 5, he started composing music.

  4. Marriage and children In 1781 Wolfgang met Constanze. Although Wolfgangs father disagreed with them being together, they were in love so they got married August 4,1782. They had 6 kids but only two survived. Their names were Karl Thomas and Franz Xaver.

  5. Influences During one of Wolfgang’s European tours he met and became friends with Johann Christian Bach, he had an influence on how Wolfgang composed music. Joseph Haydn also had a strong influence on Wolfgang, they formed a great relationship when Wolfgang was 16. Bach Joseph haydn

  7. The marriage of Figaro • Written in the mid 1780’s • Original play was by Beaumarchais, it was banned by ruling authorities in France • The play and opera show the limitations of privilege and that common sense can overcome wealth and power

  8. Death Wolfgang died on December 5, 1791. The cause of death is uncertain but some say he died of acute rheumatic fever, a disease he suffered from throught his life.
