Purpose, Benefits, and Key Process Steps • Purpose • This scenario describes the typical processes used in HCM Time Management to review and process quota balances. • Benefits • Employees of an enterprise may be granted different attendance/absence time-limited entitlements for vacation leave, sick leave and training days etc. • These time-limited entitlements can be maintained in HCM Time Management as - “Time Quotas”. • HCM Time Management - provides an enterprise the ability to -: • Get a clear overview of an employee's current attendance/absence quota entitlements. • See detailed information on quota entitlements that have been generated automatically. • Have the option of correcting quota entitlements manually. • Get a simulated projection of future quota entitlements. • Have the ability to print an overview of the projected quota entitlements. • Key Process Steps • Workforce Time Administration • Time Management

Detailed Process Description • Time Administration • Employee Quota Overview • Quotas have been created • Quota information is displayed • View total entitlement, requested and remaining days/hours, validity interval, and deduction interval of the quota, as well as an indicator showing whether the entitlement was accrued manually or automatically. • Absence Quota Report • Quotas have been created • Quota information is displayed • Report can be run for one particular type of quota or a range of different quota types and with specific deduction periods if so desired.

Detailed Process Description • Time Administration • Create Quotas Manually • An employee is entitled to a quota that is not automatically generated in time evaluation • A quota record is created, and the appropriate absence/attendance can be entered on the time sheet • Quota Corrections • Quota entitlement needs to be changed outside of configured accrual and generation requirements. • Quota Correction record is created.

Detailed Process Description • Time Administration • Time Quotas Compensation • Employee terminates and is entitled to quota balance payout. • Based on the business needs - quota entitlements may be compensated for. • Quota Compensation record is created. • When the compensation is recorded, the remaining quota is reduced by the specified amount and employee is compensated for accordingly.
