  1. August 14th, 2014 Welcome to 4th grade! Dear family and students, Welcome to the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year! I am extremely excited to be apart of your son or daughter’s journey through the fourth grade! My name is Mr. Jim Addison but the students are welcome to call me Mr. A.First off I would like to share a few things about me. I am from Lancaster, WI and received my degree at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. I have three older sisters each in a different area of the educational spectrum. On my spare time I enjoy playing the guitar, piano, and singing. I am also involved in an array of sports and outdoor activities. The journey through fourth grade will be filled with fun activities that are meaningful learning experiences. I believe in finding ways in which my students learn the most effectively, and I will strive to meet every student’s need. In fourth grade we learn about our lovely state of Wisconsin and all it has to offer. Throughout the year there will be opportunities to visit a few local places who make our state great! Parental involvement is very important to me and I believe that if teachers and parents work together, students can make bigger strides. Every Friday I will be sending home “review binders” that will include the work we have done in class as well as homework. I would greatly appreciate it if I could get a parent signature on the back sheet saying the parent and child reviewed the binder and/or worked on it together.
