  2. Introduction • The person interview was Gabe Calar • He is an ISE graduate from Mercer University • He is currently working for General Dynamics, and is a production engineer for them.

  3. General Dynamics • It was formed in 1952 • It has four business groups: Aerospace, Combat systems, Marine Systems, and Information Systems and Technology • The company does business involving vehicles, systems, tools, and munitions • They are involve in aviation, marine, and land type situations

  4. His Job Now • Gabe was able to get this job lined up a month before he graduated • He works with mostly mechanics and managers • There is some traveling in his job. He may go on business trips ranging from 3-4 days up to 2-3 weeks.

  5. Industrial Stuff • Lean and six sigma are know and practiced at the company Gabe works at, but he doesn’t use it to much himself.

  6. Internships • First internship was with Rheem (Deals with AC and heating units) • The second was Boeing( Does aerospace type stuff)

  7. School Involvement • Gabe followed the ISE track • He was not involved in any programs • He has also read The Goal

  8. Life Now • Gabe said that his education was enough sufficient for his career • His job does not keep him from a social life, except for the occasional business trips.
