Een EnergiePrestatieContract (EPC)met een Energy Service Company (ESCO) • Implementatie van energiebesparende maatregelen op basis van energie audit • Verhogen van de energie-prestaties in één of meerdere gebouwen van een bedrijf • Staat in voor onderhoud gedurende de looptijd • Staat eventueel in voor de financiering van deze investeringen • Investeringen worden terugbetaald met energiebesparingen • Wordt betaald en extra beloond in de mate waarin de vooropgestelde doelstellingen worden gehaald > resultaatsverbintenis • De afspraken tussen de klant en de ESCO worden vastgelegd in een EPC contract

EPC referentie: Psychiatrisch zorgcentrum Rekem • Jaarlijke energiekost OPZC Rekem tot 2016 : 650.000€ excl BTW • 2016: i.s.m. met Vlaams Energie Bedrijf offertevraag gelanceerd voor EnergiePrestatieContract • Geselecteerde ESCO: ENGIE Cofely • Gegarandeerde jaarlijkse besparing van 30% op de energiefactuur • Tijdens EPC al een onmiddellijke verlaging van de energiekost voor OPZC Rekem van 10%, na EPC 30%: • -194.000€ / jaar  130.000€ voor ENGIE Cofely (financiering van energiebesparende maatregelen) •  64.000€ onmiddellijke kostenverlaging voor OPZC Rekem • In dit project werd ook de financiering door ENGIE Cofely verzorgd  de klant moet geen enkele kost dragen • Energiebesparende maatregelen: • Aanleg kleinschalig warmtenet met 3 micro-WKK’s van elk 20 kWe en 3 gasabsorptiewarmtepompen • Vervanging oude verwarmingsinstallaties door performantere installaties • Plaatsing isolatie, relightingen optimalisatie BMS (gebouwbeheersysteem) • Voordelen 3 kleinere WKK-motoren in plaats van één enkele grotere motor: • warmtevraag in de zomer kan gemakkelijk worden ingevuld, zonder een groot buffervolume te moeten voorzien • hogere beschikbaarheid • eenvoudige installatie door beperkte omvang motoren (quasi plug & play) • gestandaardiseerde units – interessante prijs (investering & onderhoud) • eenvoudiger uitbreidbaar naar de toekomst toe 19
