  1. Seeking God’s Glory Why the Glory of God ?? What is Glory ?? Shekinah Glory Why did Moses ask God – to See His Glory ?? What does it mean to us today ?? Prophetic Word of Encouragement

  2. Seeking God’s Glory Why the Glory ?? • At the time when God announced that Israel won’t be going into the Promised Land through their unbelief, God made the following Profound Statement… • Num14:21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the Glory of the LORD. • Why did God said this, and what did He mean by it ?? • Num14:22 Because all those men which have seen My Glory, and My miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to My voice; • Num 14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked Me see it: • Num 14:24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed Me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. • God is looking for a Nation, or a Generation that will Follow Him, Worship Him, and Obey His Word and Commandments to the Full. • Those are the Ones He wants to Bless, and Show His Glory to the Fullest..!!! • It started with Israel, because of Abraham’s Faith and Obedience to God. • God caused this message to be prophesied by His Prophets in various ways, and one example is in the middle of Habakkuk's vision: • Hab 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the Knowledge of the Glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. • BUT: Israel rejected this calling, and even Jesus they rejected – and then God opened up the invitation to every nation and people that are interested to come to Him. • Jesus explained it in the Parable of the Wedding Feast in Mat 22:1-14….!!! • Mat 22:2-3 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain King, which made a marriage for His Son, And sent forth His servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

  3. Seeking God’s Glory Why the Glory ?? • Mat 22:8-9 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. • And then Jesus ended the parable, with the following sentence: • Mat 22:14 For many are called (G2822), but few are chosen (G1588). • G2822: Called = Appointed to be a Saint • But FEW have been Favoured (G1588) – those responding to His Heart’s Call… • THUS: God is Calling everyone (Joh 3:16), but Few are Responding to His Call… • And then Peter wrote in 1 Pet 1:9-10 • 1Pet 2:9-10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. • Prior to this scripture Peter built up to this portion, by explaining it: • 1Pet 1:21-23 Who by Him (Jesus) do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him Glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. • THUS: God have opened up the way for us, to come into the Glory of God and His SON (JESUS) which He so much desires to SHARE with His Creation… • And this GLORY of His Kingdom Call is going to GROW in the World like the Rock in the Dream of King Nebuchadnezzar in Dan 2 (Especially verse 45) • So let us go deeper into His Glory, and discover what it all has installed for us…!!!

  4. Seeking God’s Glory What is Glory ?? • In the Hebrew, the Word that we only know as Glory – has a number of definitions: • H3513 kâbad(114 times) - To be heavy, that is, in a bad sense (burdensome, severe, dull) or in a good sense (numerous, rich, honorable); causatively to make weighty (in the same two senses): glorify, be (make) glorious (things), glory, (very) great, be grievous, harden, be (make) heavy, be heavier, lay heavily, honour (self), (be) honourable (man), lade, prevail, promote (to honour), be rich… • Exo 8:15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said. • Exo 14:18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen." • H3519 kâbôd (200 times) – from H3513, properly weight; but only figuratively in a good sense, splendor: - glorious (-ly), glory, honour (-able). • Exo 33:18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me Thy glory. (1 Sam4:21 – Ichabod) • H6286 pâ'ar- to gleam; figuratively to boast; also to explain (that is, make clear) oneself; denominatively from H6288, to shake a tree: - beautify, boast self, go over the boughs, glorify (self), glory, vaunt self. • Exo 8:9 And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only? • H1926 hâdâr- magnificence, that is, ornament or splendor: - beauty, comeliness, excellency, glorious, glory, goodly, honour, majesty. • Psa8:4-5 What is man…For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned Him with Glory and Honour. • Glory in Hebrew thus means: to be Heavy (To Carry Weight) or Honour

  5. Seeking God’s Glory Shekinah Glory • The Visible Sign of God's Presence is another form of the Glory of God… • And that was mostly Experienced ON The Ark of Testimony in the Holy of Holies– by a selected few • Lev 16:2; 2Sam 6:2; 2Kings 19:14-15; Psa 80:1; Isa 37:16; Eze 9:3; Eze 10:18; • Exo 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubimswhich are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel. • Heb9:5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercy seat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. • But also – God’s Presence was manifested in the Clouds for the crowds: • Exo 13:21-22 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. • Exo 16:10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud. • Exo 24:16 And the Glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day He called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

  6. Seeking God’s Glory Why did Moses ask God – to See His Glory ?? • Moses had seen in various cases and under various situations the GLORY of God displayed in his life… • The Birth of Moses and his first 40 years of life in Egypt as the Son of the Pharaoh's Daughter was miraculous (Exo 2) • Then the Burning Bush Experience (Exo 3&4) – it was during this moment, that God revealed Himself as I AM WHO I AM (Exo 3:14) • Exo 4 all the different signs God gave to Moses, and How He revealed His power to Mosses • Exo4:11-12And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. • Then all the Plagues in Egypt that Moses witnessed and how Israel was kept from it all (Exo 5 – 13) • Then the Great Exodus and the Fall of Egypt – Exo 13:17- 14) • And then Moses sang a song in Exo 15:1-19 • Exo 15:1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. • Exo 15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him. • Exo 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is His name. Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath He cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea…. • Exo 15:11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

  7. Seeking God’s Glory Why did Moses ask God – to See His Glory ?? • Then all the miraculous things that happened in the desert: • Exo 15:22-27 – Bitter Waters of Marah made sweet through the tree Moses had to cast in the water • In Exo 16 they started getting hungry – and God gave them bread (Manna) and Quails to eat • Exo 16:7 (Moses said) And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? • And then the Water from the rock and then the winning battle over Amalek – Exo 17 • Exo 17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah nissi: (The Lord my Banner) • Exo 19 – 3 months later they arrived in Sinai – where God spoke to Moses on various occasions through the Cloud and on the Mountain in Sinai… • And so it carries on through Exodus regarding the Tabernacle that Moses had to build – right up to Exo 33 • In Exo 33 – Moses actually set his tent outside of the Camp and called it the Tent of Meeting – or the Tabernacle of the Congregation where people could meet God should they want to. • And during these meetings with God, Moses asked God to show him His Glory… (H3519)

  8. Seeking God’s Glory Why did Moses ask God – to See His Glory ?? • Exo 33:12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. • Exo 33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. • Exo 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. • Exo 33:15 And he said unto Him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. • Exo 33:16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. • Exo 33:17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. • Exo 33:18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me Thy glory. • It was a very intimate moment between Moses and God, when Moses asked this question. • Moses have seen so much of God’s glorious works and appearances, and yet he knew – there must be more… • And then God’s reply to Moses – and the actual appearance of God on the Mountain in Exo 35, is the TRUE GLORY of GOD…

  9. Seeking God’s Glory • Exo 33:19 And He said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the Name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. • Exo 33:20-23 And He said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by Me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while My Glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with My hand while I pass by: And I will take away Mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. • Exo 34:5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. • Exo 34:6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, • Exo 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. • Exo 34:8-9 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. And he said, If now I have found grace in Thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. • GRACE and MERCY – Forgiveness and the LOVE of God – and His Righteous Judgement is what is His TRUE GLORY !!! • Not so much the Signs and the Wonders and the Miracles…. • Exo 34:29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

  10. Seeking God’s Glory What does it mean to us today ?? • 2Cor 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound (superabound) to the glory of God. • 2Cor 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. • 2Cor 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; • 2Cor 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. • But this message all started in the Chapter preceding it… • 2Cor 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: • 2Cor 3:8-9 How shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather Glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of Righteousness Exceed in Glory. • 2Cor 3:10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. • 2Cor 3:11-13 For if that which is done away was Glorious, much more that which remaineth is Glorious. Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastlylook to the end of that which is abolished: • 2Cor 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

  11. Seeking God’s Glory What does it mean to us today ?? • 2Cor 3:15-16 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. • 2Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. • 2Cor 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from Glory to Glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. • 2Cor 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech (appeal) you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye Reconciled to God. • 2Cor 5:21 For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Him. • Seek God’s TRUE GLORY – not just the Signs, the Miracles and the Wonders.. • SEEK HIS HEART and Intimacy with God, Our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus, through the Presence of the Holy Spirit…!!! • And the Blessings, and the Signs and Miracles and Wonders will follow you and even overtake you..!! ********** A M E N **********

  12. Seeking God’s Glory A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT Exo 15 & Ps 78 When you reach a place of Bitter Waters (a disappointment - and of seemingly no way out)... Know then that God is already waiting for you there !! Waiting, Watching to see if you are going to Enquire of Him…. To show forth His Glory IN Your Situation.. !!! So: Do not grumble and become all fearful & dismayed like Israel did, BUT rather Worship Him & Enquire of Him in order to discover a NEW STRATEGY and A WAY OUT !!! Remember: Jesus is The WAY of TRUTH unto ETERNAL LIFE.. !! (Joh 14:6 & Joh 8:32) ******** A M E N ********
