Guidelines for Procurement of Professional Aerial Imagery, Photogrammetry, Lidar and Related Remote Sensor-based Geospatial Mapping Services • Background • May ‘06: ASPRS Board votes to update 1986 procurement guidelines • Oct. ‘06: Ad hoc work group formed to include ASPRS, MAPPS and ACSM • Purpose / Charter: Develop updated document, which: • Includes updated technological references; • Maintains consistency NCEES Model Law and Model Rules; • Addresses professional services vs. products; • Includes guidance for determining when qualifications-based selection processes should be used for photogrammetry/remote sensing procurement • HistoryApril ‘07 -- Initial Draft Executive Summary presented at ASPRS spring conferenceJan., May ‘08: Revised Executive Summary presented at MAPPS and ASPRS conferencesSummer ‘08: Final draft completed; intent is for wide dissemination and comment
