All Florida MFG Day events will be • posted on the FLATE website and on the NATIONAL MFG Day website by the FLATE team. Please forward this timeline to manufacturing partners in your region.

Timeline for the 2014 Manufacturing Day in Florida Celebration June 2nd– Save the Date – October 3, 2014 Email school district personnel, counselors, teachers, government officials, manufacturers, associations, and RMAs a save the date invitation. Mid June – FLATE, RMAs and TRADE begin recruiting MFG Day Hosts Regional coordinators will ask manufacturers and colleges to host “Made in Florida” tours for students and to schedule open house events for unemployed and under-employed community members. Mid July – Solicit Donations from RMAs, Associations, and School Districts Request donations for t-shirts, transportation, substitute teacher compensation, etc. Beginning of August – Request proclamations from county officials Templates for proclamations can be found on the FLATE website. End of August – Invite schools and community members to take tours and attend open houses Regional coordinators will begin matching schools with manufacturers for the “Made in Florida” tours. Additionally Career Source representatives may want to work with TRADE grant coordinators to invite community members to college and manufacturer open houses. Mid September – Regional partners receive shirts, surveys, curriculum and tour tips Details regarding shirts, surveys and curriculum will be provided on the FLATE website. October 3rd– National Manufacturing Day October 20th- FLATE analyzes student survey data and posts photos, proclamations online November 10th- Regional Partners receive student data results YOUR LOGO GOES HERE
