Camarillo, CA 93012 • Receive a detailed crunch plan to help you pace and teach effective strategies for each of the assessed genres right up to testing day. • Walk away with an armful of terrific materials and a head full of great kid-friendly strategies to boost students’ writing abilities for the state test and every other day. • Teach writing in all the content areas to maximize writing opportunities and prepare for the common core standards. • Learn writing strategies and strategic planning to create effective grouping and differentiation. • Engage all learners and shelter instruction for English learners (i.e., total physical response, chants, songs, sketching, acting out the organizational writing plan, innovative graphic organizers, sentence frames, note-taking, checking for errors, proper syntax and more)! • Utilize opportunities for content area writing and thematic teaching by creatively mapping the standards. • Revisit, refine and expand your expertise since our 2011 State Writing Workshop.
