  4. ¿Recuerdas? • You have already learned to form the subjunctive of regular verbs. • The nosotros command forms take the same endings.

  6. When forming nosotros commands, use the same endings as you do with the nosotros form of the subjunctive. For –er/irverbs: -emos For –arverbs: -amos ¿Te interesa la naturaleza? Escribamos un artículosobre los tucanes de Costa Rica. Are you interested in nature? Let’s write an article about the toucans of Costa Rica.

  8. Spelling changes Verbs ending in the following require spelling changes to keep pronunciation consistent. -car changes to -quemos -gar changes to -guemos -zar changes to –cemos The nosotros command form of the verb ir is vamos. Comencemos con el tour. ¡Vamos! Let’s begin the tour. Let’s go!

  10. If the verb is used reflexively, the nosotros command ends in –nos. Remember to use an accent when you add –nos to the verb, so that the stress remains the same. Also note that the –s of the verb ending is dropped. Estamos muy cansados; sentémonos a descansar. We’re very tired; let’s sit and rest.

  11. If the verb is used reflexively… sentarse- remove the –se sentar- sentemosnos- drop the –s sentémonos secarse- secar- sequémonos acostarse acostémonos

  12. Give the nosotros command: dejar- sacar- caminar- sentarse- preservar- secarse- dejar= dejemos sacar- saquemos caminar-caminemos sentarse-sentémonos preservar-preservemos secarse- sequémonos
