  1. BEAVER SCOUT OUTINGS 1. C.R.B. Checks – Birth Certificates, Passport, driving license for I.D. 2. Risk Assessments – share these with parents 3. Register Beavers – put into groups 4.Photograph and record- parental feedback on activity

  2. C.R.B. CHECKS( Criminal Records Bureau checks for personal criminal records that may place children in danger) • THESE ARE IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS AND NECESSARY FOR ALL SCOUTING TRIPS. • It is easy to do! • Complete and return the C.R.B. form from the Group Leader and bring two of these identifications with you: your Passport, driving licence, and Birth Certificate. • These will be returned to you immediately, once they have been seen and ticked off on your C.R.B. form, by the Group Leader. • The forms are sent away, and the C.R.B. check is completed within a couple of months.

  3. RISK ASSESSMENT(This tells us where there are possible dangers) • Accidents happen QUICKLY! • It is vital for all adults to be aware of the dangers before the trip starts. This helps to avoid them! • Please read the Risk Assessment that we make for helpers on the day, and let me know if there is anything that could be added before and after the trip, for future outings. • Thank you!

  4. REGISTER Registering the Beavers is important, should one get lost, or hide! We need to count them in, and count them out! We put the Beavers into small groups with an adult for their safety, and to allow them time to clearly chat their thoughts through with an adult. Listening to their thoughts is important, so that we can help to develop their understanding.

  5. Photograph and Record • Snap! • Share your photo’s on the Scout Website! • E-mail me your thoughts about the outing. Look forward to hearing from you! Thank you for your time – Please contact me, Bridie Williamson, on bridie.williamson@btinternet.com
