  2. Tutorial Objectives: 3 Steps • Saving your document to the proper format • Digitally submit your Action Research paper: Due Date 05.07.10 • Respond to 3 assigned projects as a reviewer: Due Date 05.18.10 Trust me! It’s easy! Developed by Bob Schneider

  3. Save as a .DOC NOT .DOCX • If you are using a version of Microsoft Word before 2007, then you are all set! • If you are using Microsoft Word 2007, be sure to save it as a Word 1997-2003 document. Developed by Bob Schneider

  4. Summary of Document Submission • Basically, you are logging into Blackboard and creating a discussion board thread with an attachment. • You have been given a username and password. Your username is gal.last name followed by your first name. The password is simply…password. All letters are in lowercase and without spaces. • Example…Mine would be: • Username: gal.schneiderbob • Password: password Developed by Bob Schneider

  5. Submitting Your Project – 1 of 5 • Go to http://galileo.resa.net. Do not enter www. • Click on the login button at the top of the window. • Enter your username and password. Then click the login button. • Within the navigation bar to the left, click on the button that says discussion board. Developed by Bob Schneider

  6. Submitting Your Project – 2 of 5 • On your screen, you will see names of school districts. If you don’t see yours, you will need to click the arrow to navigate to page 2. • Click on the name of your district. Developed by Bob Schneider

  7. Submitting Your Project – 3 of 5 • Click on the button that says create thread. • In the subject box, enter your name, followed by the name of your action research project. Developed by Bob Schneider

  8. Submitting Your Project – 4 of 5 • In the message box enter, “Please download my action research document, and then Reply to this message with your input.” • Click on the attach file link. Developed by Bob Schneider

  9. Submitting Your Project – 5 of 5 • Locate your action research document on your computer, select it, and click on the Open button. • Click on Submit. • Click on Submit again. • Click on Submit one more time. • You should now see your document thread listed within the forum for your district.   10. Responding to Colleagues – 1 of 2 • Be sure to login first. • Click on the district name. • Click on the name of the person you are going to view. • Locate the link to the action research document (near the bottom of the page) and click to download. Developed by Bob Schneider

  11. Responding to Colleagues – 2 of 2 • After reading the document, click on the Reply button at the top of the page • Enter your comments in the message box • When you are finished, click on Submit • Repeat this process for the other action research reports you are to review.
