  2. Dinosaurs • Lived long ago on Earth • Some were small and others were very large • Some ate meat and others ate plants

  3. Looking For Dinosaurs • People find bones in the ground. • People also find dinosaur teeth and eggs. • People fit bones together. • Bones that are put together form a skeleton.

  4. Looking For Dinosaurs • Dinosaurs often walked where the ground was muddy. • They made footprints in the mud. • After many years the mud turned into rock. • The footprints were left in the rock.

  5. The Land of the Dinosaurs • Dinosaurs lived where the land was warm and wet. • Part of the land was covered with water. • Many plants grew on the land. • A place like this is called a swamp.

  6. Two Types of Dinosaurs • Meat Eaters • Plant Eaters

  7. Meat Eaters • Sharp Teeth • Strong hind legs for running • Short front legs with pointed claws • Strong jaws

  8. Plant Eaters • Ate plants • Had many flat teeth • Walked on four legs
