  3. Their habitat • Orangutans are in danger of dying out because people are destroying their tropical rainforest habitat.

  4. Food The favourite food of the orangutan is the banana. They also eat all types of fruit.

  5. Orangutan Orangutan, great ape of Southeast Asia. Its name means “man of the jungle” in Malay, and Austronesian language. Orangutans live only on the island of Borneo and in the northern corner of the island of Sumatra.
