  3. Disposition Challenges • Matching Disposition to Specific Charges • Lack of Clearly Defined Standards, Policies and Procedures • Lack of Dedicated Project Oversight/Management/Staffing for this Disposition Project • Dispositions with No Fingerprints on File

Creation of Disposition Committees • Creation of Two Committees • Disposition Policy Committee • Disposition Technical Committee • Purpose of Policy Committee • Establish Policies and Procedures to Streamline Manual and Electronic Disposition Reporting • Purpose of Technical Committee • Provide Technical Support Assisting with Implementing the Policies and Procedures Established by the Policy Committee

Current Tasks and Next Steps • Focus on Manual Disposition Processing First • Committee Identified First Policies/Procedures/Standards to Begin to Create • Records and Technology Staff is in the Process of Drafting the first 4 Policies/Procedures/Standards • These will be Presented to the Disposition Policy Committee • Policy Committee Members will Solicit Input from their User Groups on these Policies/Procedures/Standards • Final Draft of these Policies/Procedures/Standards will be Presented to the NCJIS Advisory Committee for Final Approval.

  7. NCHIP Grant Funding • AOC and Records and Technology Applied for NCHIP Grant Funding to Hire a Project Manager to Oversee this Project. • We have been told we were rewarded the NCHIP Grant funding which should be available late Fall. • AOC will hire and manage this Project Manager working closely with Records and Technology staff. • These dedicated resources should speed up the project tremendously.
