  2. Contexte • Situation • à 2100 km NC, 2800 km PF, dist. W-F : 230km • Wallis : 13°Sud, terres 80km2, alt. 151m, lagon 90km2, 19 îlots • Futuna-Alofi : 14°Sud, terres 60km2, alt. F : 524m A : 417m, dist. F-A 1,7km • Hab. WF : 15 000 hab. avec 64% sur W (2003) • 35 000 cochons • Royaumes et autorités coutumières • Faune-Flore • 292 sp. plantes à fleurs ind., dont 7 end. • 25 sp. oiseaux nicheurs, dont 15 sp. terrestres ind., 6 ss sp. end. • Forêts naturelles : 15% W, 25% F, 60% A

Invasions • Plantes • 125 sp. introduites (2003) dont 65 sp. envahissantes ou potentiellement (PEARC) • Sur les 36 sp. végétales des 100 sp. les + envahissantes, 7 seraient présentes sur W et F • Acacia mearnsii, Imperata cynlindrica, Lantana camara, Leucaena leucocephala, Clidemia hirta, Mikania micrantha, Spathodea campanulata • Vertébrés • 12 sp. Exotiques, dont 2 sp. oiseaux, 7 sp. mammifères terrestres, 2 sp. poissons, 1 reptile • 6 sp. font partie des 100 sp. les + envahissantes • Martin triste, chèvre, chat, rat noir, cochon, tilapia du Mozambique • Invertébrés • 2 sp. mollusques (achatine* et euglandine*), 4 insectes (Oryctes rhinoceros, Wasmannia auropunctata*, Anoplolepis longipes, Pheidole megacephala*) • 4 sp. Font partie des 100 sp. les + envahissantes (*)

Gestion des invasions • Code de l’environnement (26 juill. 2007) • Chap. 3 : liste d’EE envahissantes ou nuisibles • Classe 1 : introduction, installation ou propagation constituerait une menace • Classe 2 : sp. présente qui peut présenter un intérêt écono, social, env, mais dont introduction voire exploitation doivent être étudiés et encadré • Infraction : peine, en cas d’atteinte grave à la biodiversité le matériel pourra être saisi • Importation végétaux : contrôle sanitaire et certificat phytosanitaire (CPS, STARP) • Classe 1 : introd. volontaire, négligence ou imprudence interdite et senctionnée • Classe 2 : introd. soumise à autorisation (arrêté), incertitude : expertise sc.
