  4. Population Has 4125247 inhabitants as of 2010 Ranks 124th among other countries in population The life expectancy of women is 75 years old, and for men 72 years. Is ranked 90th among other countries for life expectancy.

  5. Religion About 60% of Lebanese people are of the Muslim religion. The book followed by these people is the Qur’an. They accept Jesus as a prophet. They are not expected to visualize god. The purpose of existence is to warship god. They refer to their god as Allah.

  7. Holidays Eid al-Adha is a holiday from November 16th to November 19th. It means the “Festival of Sacrifice” It is celebrated to commemorate the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael to obey god.

Recipes of Lebanon Hummus • 2 cups dry chickpeas soaked in water and 1/2 tsp. bicarbonate of soda overnight • 3 cloves of garlic crushed • 1/2 cup sesame seeds paste • 1/4 cup lemon juice • Salt & pepper Tabouleh • 3 cups of finely chopped flat leaf parsley • 1/2 cup of finely chopped mint • 4 or 5 finely chopped spring onions • 4 tomatoes medium size chopped into small cubes • 100g of fine burghul • 1/2 cup lemon juice • 4 tbs olive oil • Salt and Pepper

  9. Tourism Due to political turmoil, the tourism attractions are very limited. The few attractions in Lebanon are real estate and a few skiing resorts in the mountains for skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing .
