Scenario • The subject is running away from the mob, and they need to get out of the city as quickly as possible. • The mob does not like cold places so the tester is going to travel to a country with a cold climate. The tester also loves to ski. • The subject is to get tickets to Stockholm, Sweden. He is traveling from Vancouver to Stockholm. • The tester is to rent a luxury car of any type, and book a hotel room on the day of the arrival. • They are to stay for one month. • The tester will use Air Canada to book their flight, hotel, and rental car.

Booking Flight • If flights are not found, general error should not occur, should specify what kind of error it was • Total travel time was not displayed • Got errors multiple times, but after trying again with the same input, found results. • Did not give give other recommendations for getting to destinations. • Did not offer option to continue on to either hotel or car rental sites without having to input all of your info again.

  4. Reserving Hotel • Too much information displayed • Descriptions were too long to read through • Not able to make reservations for longer than 30 days • Currency exchanger not on the hotel search results page; only on each hotel info page • Too many steps to book a hotel room

Renting a Car • Car rental site should offer option to use information from last flights searched for • Did not list options such as transmission type (automatic vs. manual) and speedometer units of measurement (km/h vs. mph) right away • Recommend cars that may not meet input preferences but are guaranteed to be in the destination area • Add “Back” or “Previous page” buttons instead of just having a “Start New Search” button; saves the user time • Should list rental companies available in the destination that is selected

  6. Improvements • Should give option of booking hotel and car rental before booking airline ticket • Car rental page should allow user to choose manual or automatic before choosing a car type • Should list rental agencies that have cars for rental instead of listing all companies regardless • Should use icons to help user remember information • Should shorten descriptions to reduce clutter on the page • Should differentiate destination and return flight page
