  1. Emily Dickson by Sierra My famous Massachusetts person is Emily Dickinson. Emily was born on December 10,1830 in Amherst Mass. Emily died on May 15,1886 in Cambridge Mass. Emily's parents names are Emily Norcass Dickinson and Edward Dickinson. Emily grew up in Amherst Mass. Emily went to school at Amherst academy. When she was older she quit school. She worked at home but her most famous job was being a poet. Emily did not get married or have any kids. Emily liked writing about nature. She sold over 1,775 poems all around the world in different languages. She is famous because she wrote over 1,775 poems. She helped her family in hard times. Emily’s father died in 1874. Emily’s mother died in 1882. Emily Dickinson died of disease of the kidneys. Emily died before she knew she was famous.
