  5. How were these artifacts found? What sort of work does an archaeologist do?What kinds of things might they find?

  6. In the beginning… The dreaming stories tell us that most Aboriginal tribal groups believed in a ‘Great Spirit” who created the earth and the oceans and organised the seasons, the rain and the sunshine. In the beginning …..The first Australians

  7. Are these beliefs similar to a religion that you know of or below to?

  8. The Catholic religion believes that God was the creator of the heavens, the earth, and all livings things. God created human beings in his image and watched over his creations to guide them in making good choices.

  9. The early years… When Aboriginal people first arrived on the shores over 50 000 years ago, Australia was a different place. These first settlers would have seen some of the changes that happened during this period : For example volcanoes erupting, Lake Eyre drying up, deserts forming, rainforests spreading, slices of mountains crashing into the valleys below, glaciers making lakes, and new harbours, bays and islands forming

  10. The early years The might have also witnessed the disappearance of the giant marsupials such as the giant rat kangaroo, the marsupial lion, the blunt-faced koala, the giant emu, and snakes as thick as tree trunks.
