  2. Roku is a streaming device which receives data from an internet router via the wired or Wi-Fi connection. It uses to watch TV in a more convenient and cost-effective manner. Roku setup is easy to use. They come with remote control also can be controlled with the Roku mobile app.

  3. How to Roku setup? • Plug the Roku into HDMI port – All Roku devices can connect to the TV via HDMI cable so the Roku device will require your TV to have at least one HDMI port to use. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the back of the Roku player’s box, then plug other ends into the HDMI port on the back or side of your TV.

  5. Setting up the Roku – turn on your TV then press the input or source button on the remote or the TV and select the HDMI slot (if your TV has more than one HDMI port) Roku’s setup screen will be open.

Select a language – using remote’s arrow buttons you can find your preferred language and press OK on the remote. • Connect to WIFI – if you will be using a wireless network connection make sure you know your wireless network name (SSID) and your wireless security password. To connect to Wi-Fi scan for networks by selecting scan again to see all networks and press OK .select your Wi-Fi network by highlighting it pressing OK. Enter the password and press OK when prompted.

Allow the Roku to update – once your Roku is connected to the internet, you will be prompted to let it download the latest software. • Confirm the display settings – if you are using a Roku player, your Roku setup will immediately determine the best settings for your HDTV and apply them. However, you can change the display settings by opening settings, selecting display type, selecting preferred TV settings.

  11. Add a payment method – when prompted, enter your preferred payment information (e.g. A credit card) this is the method you will use to pay for some content (e.g. Subscription) on your Roku.
