  3. Step 2 – Sections! • Unfold Sentence Strip • Draw vertical lines on 6 fold creases

  5. Step 4 – Conversion Reminders! • Add these to the top middle box! ÷ 10BASE x 10 

  6. Step 5 – How to Use! (INB 20) Example: 987.6 dekaliters = _____ milliliters • Find the first “unit” on your sentence strip (daL) • Find the units you’re trying to find on the sentence strip (mL) • Count the number of spaces to get from #1 to #2 (4 to the right) • Move the decimal place the same direction and number in #3 (4 to the right) • 987.6 becomes 9876000 • Therefore, 987.6 dekaliters = 9,876,000 milliliters

Example: 567 meters = _______ millimeters • Find meters on the conversion strip • Find millimeterson the conversion strip • Count the number of places to get from meters to millimeters • Move the decimal place that same number of places and in the same direction! • 5 6 7 0 0 0 • 567 meters = 567,000 millimeters 1 2 3
