  2. WRSC / IRSC 2013 • WRSC (World Robotic Sailing Championship) / IRSC (International Robotic Sailing Conference) are international and annualmarine robotics competition and conference that aim at stimulating the development of autonomous marine robotics and its applications.

Competition • Originally designed for autonomous sailboats, the competition will be opened this year also to motorboats • Categories of robots : • Small autonomous sailboats up to 1 m long, 2 m high, 100 kg, referred to Microsailboats category • Autonomous sailboats up to 4 m long, 10 m high, 500 kg, referred to Sailboats category • Any type of autonomous boat up to 4 m long, 10 m high, 500 kg, referred to Motorboats category

Competition • Teams : • Students teams : at least 50% of students, max of 10 people, ranked in the student ranking • Open teams : the only requirements are a max of 10 people, ranked in the open ranking • Presentations / demonstrations of professional marine robots in parallel to the competition will be also welcome!

Conference • IRSC welcomes paper submissions on a wide range of topics around autonomous marine robotics and its applications : • Mechanical design and advanced materials • Hardware and software organisation • Energy and power management • Control architectures and algorithms • Route planning and optimisation • Machine learning and adaptation • Applications of autonomous marine robots • Legal issues for autonomous vessels • …

Planning • 2013-09-02 : Conferences and installation of teams, robots setup, visit of ENSTA Bretagne in the evening+welcome buffet/dinner/barbecue • 2013-09-03 : Continuation of conferences, beginning of tasks at Moulin-Blanc • 14h00 – 15h30 : Downwind speed task • 2013-09-04 : Tasks at Moulin-Blanc • 17h00 – 18h00 : Upwind speed task • 2013-09-05 : Tasks at Moulin-Blanc • 16h00 – 17h00 : Sidewind speed task • 17h00 – 18h00 : Swarm behaviour task • 2013-09-06 : Endurance task and presentations, demos of invited robots and awards ceremony followed by buffet

Sponsorship • You can support the WRSC / IRSC 2013 and show your involvement in the development of autonomous marine robotics with us : • Participation of a robot from your organisation as a normal competitor : Free! • Get your logo on the official website as sponsor : 500€ • Get your posters, flags… shown during all the competition and conference : 1000€ • Make a presentation of your organisation without participating with a robot : 500€ • Add a task corresponding to your needs / interests to the competition : 2000€ • Add a special prize awarding a robot for a specific aspect corresponding to your needs / interests : 1000€ • Be a judge during the competition : 500€
