  2. Latvian women – universal soldiers, making carreer, is good looking, intelligent and takes care of home and family. From one side – seems good, from the other – they tend to forget that they are that weak gender, needing care and support. • Consequently, the traditional family model is being destructed, due to the unclairity of the male and female roles.   3. The situation can be exlpained by the ongoing wars in the 20th century, like World War 2, when women was the head of the family,while their husbands took part in war. After wich, Latvia still was under preassureof the Soviet Union‘till 1991. In the SovietUnion there were no difference between genders – everybody wasjust workers! Historical explanation

As the president of our little Latvia from 1999 till 2007, she was instrumental in achieving membership in the European Union and NATO for our country.
