Inmate Clothing & Supplies & Staff Uniforms • Project Summary • Correction Corporation of America • $6m annual spend • Objectives: reduce costs whilst improving service and product quality; award a 3 year contract • Process & Suppliers • Full electronic RFI, RFP resulting in an eAuction to determine contract pricing • 113 suppliers found through e-Three Supplier Outreach, with 43 invited to RFI stage • 20 suppliers taken through to RFP stage • 12 suppliers invited to take part in eAuction • Results • $772k savings (12.7%) identified from eAuction bids • Increased visibility of multiple supplier pricing • Reduction in negotiation period: 1 day compared to weeks of negotiation • Ease of analysis of multiple supplier RFI and RFP responses • Transparent and auditable process for CCA • Reduction in number of suppliers awarded business • Critical Success Factors • Breaking down the products into sourcing lots to find optimal supplier for each category range • Comprehensive training for the suppliers at each stage
