  4. A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every passerby leaves a mark

  5. Mission of CCPS To develop our pupils to be “whole persons”, emphasizing the “Formation of the Heart”.

  6. Choosing Right Programme The life skill programme is based on a psychological theory – Choice Theory, developed by well known psychiatrist Dr William Glasser

  7. Choosing Right Theory Objectives - To allow pupils’ to be more aware of their behaviours - To help them self-evaluate and make responsible choices

  8. Pastoral Care Lesson The Pastoral Care lessons seek to raise an awareness - of the existence of a higher being and - the importance of having positive moral values and attitudes.

  9. Community Involvement Programme The Community Involvement Programme provides opportunities for pupils to show care and concern to others and the environment.

  11. CIP – in all levels • Class maintenance • P2 – Use Your Hands Campaign • P3 – Aljunied Park, Buddy to P1 • P4 – I care, I share • P5/P6 – Geylang East Home for the Aged

  12. Learning Support Programme (LSP) The Learning Support programme provides assistance to pupils with learning difficulties. The learning support co-ordinator helps these pupils cope better with the academic demands of school.

  13. Counselling The counselling programme looks into the social and emotional needs of pupils through the - provision of one to one counselling - provision of programmes which meet the needs of pupils - providing professional consultation to school and parents.

  14. Financial Assistance Application for financial assistance is available for Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents.

  15. FA Eligibility Criteria The pupil must meet one of the following criteria : The total gross household income is a) $1,500 or below for families with 1 or 2 children b) $1,800 or below for families with 3 or more children The family is in receipt of social welfare aid and the head of household has an official registration pass for social welfare aid. The pupil is an inmate in a welfare organization.

  16. Rainbow Programme A peer support programme for children who have suffered a significant loss in their lives, either by death, divorce or any other painful transitions.

  17. School Family Education Talks and activities will be organised to foster better family relationships and to help develop closer ties between parents and their children.

  18. Other Programmes Leadership Training Programme Care Ambassador Training Programme Social Emotional Learning Programme P5/ P6 Sexuality Programme P6 Mission Catholic Camp / Confession (for Catholic Pupils)

  19. Discipline Discipline is nurtured through the care for self, care for learning, care for others and care for the school.
