  3. Its only when one experiences thirst ….

  4. Does she / he understand the value of water

  5. This event is all about how to ensure that coimbatoreans don’t ever face this situation

  6. Whilst most of us have taken this elixir for granted, its high time that people at large understand the need to save this precious drop for their own and our future generation

  7. Together let’s make this event a memorable one not just for the 22nd of march but for the rest of our lives

  8. Objective of the event Bring about awareness on the need to conserve water and Ways to preach and practice the same

  9. Objective • Take people down the memory lane • Look at all possible ways and means people could adopt to conserve water • Explore ways and means to explain simple ways to save water at home • ( kitchen to toilets)

  10. Objective • Make them participate in the event rather than be mute spectators • Teach them innovative ways that could be practiced to recycle • waste water • If necessary make them • feel guilty of wasting water • (Washing compound walls with siruvani water)

  11. Recommended Dates Day 1 Awareness program 21st of March 2010 ( Sunday) Day 2 Dedicate RWHS to citizens of Kovai 22nd of March 2010 Set up Thaneer pandals around the city

Recommended route • Create hype around the event starting end of Feb 2010 rather than just on 22nd of march • Suggested route could even be a • reality show on cable or local channels involving coimbatorean - Be it young or old • Something like kalakka poovadhu yaaru on Vijay TV ( As suggested by Managing trustee)

  14. Recommended route • Culminate the show with a live performance on 21st of march at VOC grounds • Have cultural programs like folk dance or skits • Have stalls at the venue explaining ways and means of conserving water • Identity 12 or 15 water conserving methods adopted from time immemorial • (Mohenjo-daro & Harappa till date • Could be open/roadside/roof or any such methods)

  15. Recommended route • Have working models of all these systems being that were practiced then and now • We could get manufactures of motors and pumps to come forward and take any one or more such methods • Involve any person or organization like Rajasthani Sangh to be a part of the event for they understand the value of water • and finally • Bring about the need to revive mother Noyyal

  16. Recommended route School children and college students may be exempted due to exams Most importantly all apex members and others are requested to suggest ways and means of driving the message to one and all. Lets’ rock this town like our Noyyal Yatra
