Early Life • Born on July 9th 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada • Parents are William Fox and Phyllis Fox. • moved several times during my childhood along with my parents, brother, and three sisters. • Like most Canadian kids, I dreamed of being a hockey player. • At the age of 10, my family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where I caught the acting bug.

  3. Moving to U.S.A • At 15, Igot my first break playing the lead role in the TV series, "Leo and Me." • A short time later, Ilanded a role in a TV movie, "Letters from Frank." Ileft Canada for Los Angeles when Iturned 18. • I became a dual Canadian-U.S. citizen in 2000.

  4. Family • I married the actress Tracy Pollan (who played Ellen, my characters girlfriend, on Family Ties) in 1988. We have four children: son Sam, twin girls Aquinnah and Schuyler, and daughter Esmé Annabelle. • Our marriage started with a decision to keep ourwedding private as we promised ourlove for one another. • We got married on July 16, 1988 at the West Mountain Inn under a tent on a wooded hillside in Arlington, Vermont.

  5. Acting Career • Best known as Marty McFly in the “Back To The Future” trilogy • Scott Howard in the 1985 movie “Teen Wolf”, • Stuart in “Stuart Little”.

  6. Back To The Future • Back to the Future is a 1985 film. It is directed by Robert Zemeckis, written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale, produced by Steven Spielberg • In 1985, Doc Brown invents time travel; in 1955, Marty McFly accidentally prevents his parents from meeting, putting his own existence at risk • I Made $300,000 - $1,000,000 for this movie

  7. Stuart Little • The Little family adopt a mouse named Stuart, but the family cat wants rid of him. • Stuart Little is a 1999 film, directed by Rob Minkoff • Co-stars: Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie, Jonathan Lipnicki

  8. Teen Wolf • The film was followed by a sequel in 1987 entitled Teen Wolf Too, an TV series which ran on CBS from 1986 to 1987, and a current TV series which premiered on MTV in June 2011. • Scott Howard discovers he’s a werewolf • Came out the same time as the first Back To The Future movie

Parkinson’s- A Disease of Aging • I was diagnosed Parkinson's disease in 1991 but didn’t tell the public until 1998. • Parkinson's disease is a disorder of the brain that leads to shaking and difficulty with walking, movement, and coordination. • Since 1998, I have dedicated myself to the campaign for Parkinson’s disease. • I Created the Michael Fox Campaign in 2000 • There is still no cure for Parkinson’s disease

Lucky Man • My first book, Lucky Man, focused on how, after seven years of denial of the disease, iset up the Michael J Fox Foundation, stopped drinking and began to be an advocate for Parkinson's disease sufferers. • I also wrote that Idid not take my medication prior to my testimony before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee in 1998
