Unit Outcomes A Student: • C4.1 Explains ways in which God is revealed in the world • C4.9 Gathers & Analyses information about religion, independently and in teams • C4.10 Communication information, ideas and issues in appropriate forms to different audiences and in different contexts • C4.11 Uses appropriate terminology related to religion and belief systems • C4.12 Names, reflects on and integrates life experience, within a response to the Christian story and vision

Subject Specific Terminology – SST’s • Image – A Representation of the external form of a person or thing in sculpture, painting. • Imagery – The formation of mental images, figures, or likenesses of things, or of such images collectively • Metaphor – A figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance. • Symbol – Usually reminds us of something else that is invisible but connected with it. • Icon – A religious image painted on a flat surface. The icon reminds people of the person whose image is painted on it, and it is a help to their devotion and prayer.
